City Harvest Ministries Church Constitution

This is our church constitution as a City Harvest Ministries



CITY HARVEST MINISTRIES
CONSTITUTION

1. NAME

The organization hereby constituted will be called CITY HARVEST MINISTRIES


1.1  VISION

To be a God-centered and effectively harvesting family;
that extends the Kingdom of God.


1.2  MISSION
Inviting individuals to become members of the family of Christ; (John 1:39)
Equipping them to effective spiritual growth; (Ephesians 4:11 - 13)
Sending them to fulfill the Great Commission (Mathew 28:28 – 20)

1.3  BODY CORPORATE

1.3.1        the organization will exist in its own right, separately from its members
1.3.2        the organization will continue to exist even when its membership changes and there are different office bearers
1.3.3        the organization will be able to own property and other possessions
1.3.4        the organization will be able to sue and be sued in its own name

2. OBJECTIVES

2.1              The organization’s main objectives are :
2.1.1        to take care of the spiritual and temporal needs; minister to the needs of the total person by proclaiming the Kingdom of God, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit
2.1.2        to empower the members, individually and corporately, to use their talents and calling in the service of the Church of Jesus Christ and in the community so that people will commit themselves to Jesus Christ and reach their full life-potential  
2.1.3        extend the influence of the church beyond its boundaries
2.1.4        to develop, equip and release believers into their ministries
2.1.5        to promote the fellowship of the believers and to network ministries
2.2              The organization’s secondary objective will be to provide community service and engage itself in community development projects in collaboration with other organizations that deal with health issues, information sharing, awareness campaigns, workshops  and education (especially HIV/AIDS and other related diseases and their conditions)
